NEWS: Quantec Software proven reliable in severe hardware
malfunction.
100% of our
customer data was restored

Release December 15, 2005): As all of our clients realized, our site was
down early Wednesday morning, and just came back up within the
hour. This downtime, as it turns out, was due to a
massive dual hard drive failure from our hosting company, Web
Weavers Internet Services. They were unable to retrieve
or recover any data due to the severity of the corruption of
data. No back up data was kept either. This means
hundreds of their hosted customers lost their businesses if
they did not keep a full back up copy of their site.
Despite all this, as soon as the hard drives were replaced,
and our account recreated, Quantec Software was able to
recover 100% of our customer data and site information.
Other sites like our web hosting partner failed to back up
their clients' data in crucial situations like this one.
We are proud to announce that we have passed a real-case
scenario with no technical complications, other than the
downtime experienced. We hope our clients can appreciate
our proven reliability under duress and difficult
circumstances.
We are currently in rapid search for a more reliable hosting
provider, and expect a smooth transition to a new host within
the next few weeks. No data will be lost during the
transfer, and the process will be transparent to our clients.
