We create your root folder on our server. We copy a complete, prefabricated e-commerce website to your folder, along with a MS Access 2000 database and all required code. It is unlikely that you will ever need to open or modify these code files (written in ASP).

We set user permissions on your root folder to allow you to use the web based control panel to manage your website. When you log into the control panel, you will automatically be directed to your folder. You get multiple FTP accounts, although all editing can be done online.

Finally, we set up your DNS zones on our nameserver so that people will be able to find your website when they search for your domain. We do not directly offer domain registration at this time, but any domain registration company should work with us. If you are using a new or existing domain, simply point the NS (nameserver records) to:

Setting up the DNS zones and NS records typically takes between 2 and 48 hours before your domain will work properly. After this last step is complete and your domain resolves properly, your website is "born", and anyone will be able to go to your ecommerce website!

Since many will find the above details too mind-numbing to read, we are essentially saying that we must first host your website on our server before you can sell your merchandise online. This whole setup process typically takes about aday.
